HELP NEIGHBORS!
Winter is coming... time to clear out leaves and branches from our neighbors' yards.
Families and friends are welcome to help us clean up yards for neighbors who are in our family housing program. Let's help our neighbors get ready for a new season and make some new friends along the way.
Meet at church on Saturday 11/15 at 9am and we will drive together to the house we are assigned to work at. We'll be done before lunch!
What is Grief & Holidays?
On Sunday, Nov. 16, we will be talking about how many people experience grief during the holidays. Maybe a loved one has died this year. Maybe someone moved away or life changed and the holidays won't be the same.
How do we support people who are grieving during the "festive" holiday season? During worship, we will have a handout with things to say and do that are supportive, and things not to say which can be harmful.
Let's be open to the needs and experiences of people around us during the holidays and make sure everyone has the support they need.
