 SUMC Spiritual Vitamins (7-9-2020)
 
"Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.”   
                                                     - Romans 12:15
 
It’s easy for us to develop bellyache when others have good fortunes and it’s easy to gloat when others cry in pain and sorrow. It’s our selfish human nature. But St. Paul admonishes Christians to rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Let us be happy for people who are happy. Let us feel the pain of others and be compassionate for them.
 
Today’s Prayer:
Dear Lord, there are people who are in pain and sorrow. Help us to be compassionate for them and be in solidarity with them. Amen.
