![]() SUMC Spiritual Vitamins (7-7-2020) Jesus Himself would often slip away to the wilderness and pray. (Luke 5:16) Jesus was busy, feeding the hungry, healing the sick, helping the poor, and spreading the gospel of the kingdom of God. And yet, in his busy schedule, Jesus would often slip away to a quiet place to pray. He recharged his spiritual batteries, being alone with God. Prayer is, in a nutshell, letting go and letting God. Prayer is being in tune with God of the universe. Today’s prayer: Dear Lord, we feel that we are too busy to find the time to pray. Help us to slow down and take the time to be alone with God in silence. Amen. 1. Prayer is conversation with God. – Clement of Alexandria 2. Nothing is so fragile as action without prayer. 3. Time spent on the knee in prayer will do more to remedy heart strain and nerve worry than anything else. – George David Stewart Jerry Cho: 920-373-3081 Comments are closed.
