Spiritual Vitamins (5/4/2020) by Pastor Jerry Cho

The Lord said to Abram, “Go forth from your country and from your relatives and from your father’s house to the land which I will show you.”  -Genesis 12:1

God told Abram to embark on a new journey to the new land to which he had never been before. Abram obeyed God and took a leap of faith into an uncertain future. Abram became the father of faith. Jesus told Peter to step out of the boat and walk on the water. Peter obeyed and walked on the water. An eagle pushes the eaglets out of their nest so that they may learn to fly. God pushes us out of our comfort zone to try new things in life. When we die, God will say to us, “Take a leap of faith into a new life beyond death. I will be there, waiting for you.”

Today’s prayer for dying people

Dear Lord, we pray for people who are facing the sunset of their lives. Help them to take a leap of faith into God’s everlasting arms. Amen.
