![]() Spiritual Vitamins (5/14/2020) by Pastor Jerry Cho “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” - Luke 23:24 Forgiveness is probably one of the hardest things we can do. We tend to forget the offenses we have made to other people. But we rarely forget offenses, real or imagined, against us. As a result, we become a slave of anger, resentment, and grudges. We need to forgive and move on, for our sanity and peace of mind. That does not mean that we should allow the offenders to keep hurting us. As John F. Kennedy said, “Forgive your enemies. But don’t forget their names.” Today’s prayer: Dear Lord, Jesus forgave people who were torturing and killing him. We have a hard time letting go of our grudges and anger toward people who have hurt us. We have allowed anger and hatred to poison our body and mind. Help us to let go of the past hurts and move on with our lives for our own sake as well as for others sake. Amen. 1. Be humble and polite, but don’t let anyone push you around. 2. The key is to keep company with only people who uplift you, whose presence calls forth your best. -Epictetus 3. Sanity is a madness put to good uses. -George Santayana Comments are closed.
