It is my belief that there are Christians who are actually atheists, and there are atheists who are really believers in God. Christians who don’t obey the teachings of Jesus are really atheists. But atheists who strive to live by the advice of Jesus are really Christians. God sees our heart, not our appearance or our title. If we follow truth, love, and peace, we are believers in God. If we have faith in hope over despair, courage over fear, and love over hate, we are believers in God. If we worship our ego, money, and power at the expense of God, justice, and compassion, we are really atheists.

Prayer at our bedtime or at our deathbed:

 “Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep;
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.”
