“Love does not keep a record of wrongs.” – 1 Corinthians 13:5 As the saying goes, “Hurt me once, shame on you! Hurt me twice, shame on me!” Forgiving others is good but it has its limits. We shouldn’t let bullies push us around over and over again. However, the other side of the coin is that we should not hold grudges because grudges fester inside us. For peace of mind, forgive, let go, and move on. Today’s prayer: Dear Lord, we feel sorry that we have often forgotten the offenses we have inflicted on others while we have never forgotten other people’s offenses toward us. Lord, forgive us as we forgive our transgressors. Amen. 1. When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive. – Alan Paton 2. We must finally be reconciled with our foe, lest we both perish in the vicious circle of hatred. – Reinhold Niebuhr 3. In the long run, every man will pay the penalty for his own misdeeds. The man who remembers this will be angry with no one, indignant with no one, revile no one, blame no one, offend no one, hate no one. – Epictetus Jerry Cho: 920-373-3081 Comments are closed.
