“One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and one whose temper is controlled is better than one who captures a city.” - Proverbs 16:31
It’s been said that one who can’t get angry is a coward but one who won’t get angry is a saint. Anger is like fire. Uncontrolled anger can destroy human relations. But controlled anger can be good energy that can correct the wrong, promote justice and improve social conditions. The word anger is a letter away from the word danger. Let us control our anger, lower our voice and speak the truth gently and kindly.
Today’s prayer: Dear Lord, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have an economic downfall. The unemployment rate is high and businesses are struggling. Help us to be strong to survive and thrive. Help us to seek justice, peace, and unity as much as we seek economic success. Amen.
1. If you are patient for one moment, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow. -Confucius
2. If civilization is to continue, modern man must direct the material power of his science by the spiritual truths of God. -Charles Lindbergh
3. Progress always involves risk, You can’t steal second base and keep your foot on first.
