Spiritual Vitamins (4/8/2020) by Pastor Jerry Cho

“Do not say, ‘Why is it that the former days were better than these.’
For it is not from wisdom that you ask about this.”  -Ecclesiastes 7:10

Over 2300 years ago the author of Ecclesiastes wrote that it is not wise to say, “Former days were better than these days.” It seems that human nature never changes. We, too, reminisce about our former days and say, “Those were good old days.” But wise men don’t waste time, looking back. They find happiness here and now. Happiness is celebrating little things. Seize the moment. Be happy now.

Today’s Prayer for nursing home residents: Dear Lord, we pray for nursing home residents, their families, and care takers. They are in a vulnerable position. We pray for their safety and well-being. Amen.

1.    Nothing worthwhile is easy. If David had slain a dwarf instead of a giant, who would have remembered?   -Victor Kiam
2.    I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the ordeal of meeting me is another matter.  – Sir Winston Churchill

 3.    A human being can alter his life by altering his attitude.  – William James
