Dear church members and friends,
Happy new year to you all! God has given us a new chapter of our lives. With God’s grace, may we all fill the year 2020 with health, joy, and good works for other people. No matter how good or bad our past may have been, we cannot change our past. No matter how rosy our dream for the future may be, we cannot live in the future. The only thing we have is here and now. With God’s help, we can accept the given reality and make the best and the most of our lives. Jesus taught us that there is power in faith. Faith, as small as a mustard seed, can move mountain-sized problems in our lives. Jesus said, “As you believe, so shall it be.” If we hold on to our hope and faith, our dreams can often be our realities. Let’s walk by faith, not by sight. Jesus taught us that we ought to use God’s gifts to bless other people in the world. A fish is good at swimming. A squirrel is good at climbing a tree. A bird can fly in the sky and an elephant can carry heavy logs. Everybody has something good in themselves. Let us use our God-given talents to glorify God and bless fellow human beings. Life is short and everyone is carrying a heavy cross on his/her back. People are weighed down by financial difficulties, cancer, broken-heartedness, depression or fear of death. Let us pray that God may use us to lighten people’s burdens and bring joy to their lives. The winter night is dark and long. Have faith that the winter does not last forever. Spring never skips its turn. May God give us faith and spiritual energy to make the best and the most of theyear 2020! May we be used as the instruments of God’s compassion and love for the world! Happy New Year and God bless you all! Pastor Jerry Comments are closed.
