Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Blessings to you and your loved ones! Pastor Jerry Spiritual Vitamins (3/26/2020) by pastor Jerry Cho “I desire compassion, and not sacrifice.” – Matthew 9:13 Archaeologists found evidence that ancient people had sacrificed young children to their god for rain and good harvest. Ancient Hebrew people slaughtered animals and burned them on the altar, praying for the forgiveness of their sins. Their understanding of God was primitive. Jesus declared that God wanted compassion, not animal sacrifices. What God wants from us is to love one another. Let us pray for the armed forces. Dear Lord, we thank you for our service men and women. They protect us and our country from belligerent countries. Being right without might will get us nowhere. We pray that we maintain our military power to protect our freedom, democracy, and world peace. Amen. 1. The first duty of love is to listen. – Paul Tillich 2.
