Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
How are you and your family doing? Cindy and I are doing fine. We hope to see you in person sooner or later! Pastor Jerry Spiritual Vitamins (3/31/2020) by pastor Jerry Cho “Take courage, fear not” - Isaiah 35:4 Fear can kill people. The other day an Arizona man took chloroquine phosphate, a malaria medication, to prevent coronavirus. Within 30 minutes he got sick and died. Coronavirus did not kill him. Fear of coronavirus killed him. The opposite of fear is courage. Courage keeps us going when the going gets tough. Prayer for mail carriers and delivery personnel: Dear Lord, we thank you for mail carriers and delivery people. Thanks to them, we stay connected with the outer world and get our supplies. Bless them and their families! Amen. 1. Knowledge is an antidote to fear. -Ralph Waldo Emerson 2. The older I grow, the more I listen to people who don’t talk much. -Germain G. Glidden 3. Stronger by weakness wise men become. – Edmund Waller Jerry Cho: 920-373-3081 Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Stay safe and healthy. 😷 Have a magnificent day! 😸 Pastor Jerry Spiritual Vitamins (3/30/2020) by pastor Jerry Cho “My God is my strength.” – Isaiah 49:5 My late aunt suffered a lot during her 85 years of life on earth. Her alcoholic husband became a leper and lived in a leper colony for the rest of his life. She lost six out of her seven children by death. She confided to my mother, “Without God, I would have gone insane.” She found that God was her strength to carry on. Our children grow and leave home. Our parents and spouses die before us and leave us alone. But God is always with us here and hereafter. God is our strength. Let us pray for volunteers. Dear Lord, we thank you for volunteers in America. They donate their time and effort to serve people in our community. Their heart for serving people is a great blessing to our community. May God fill their hearts with joy and happiness. Amen. 1. I see God in every human being. -Mother Teresa 2. Don’t find fault, find a remedy. – Henry Ford 3. Lord, forgive us for looking at the world with dry eyes. -Dr. Frank C. Laubachd Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Thank God! It's Friday! Have a good weekend! Pastor Jerry 😀 Spiritual Vitamins (3/27/2020) by pastor Jerry Cho “You do not have because you do not ask.” – James 4:2 When my dogs plead me for a treat, I give them a treat most of the time. I am happy to see them happy. Sometimes I refuse to give them treats because I care for their health. Our heavenly father is the creator of the whole universe. We can ask our Father for our heart’s desire. God is happy to see His children happy. Sometimes God says no because God has a better plan for us. Let us pray for teachers. Dear Lord, we thank you for teachers. They teach children how to read and write, how to calculate and how to play musical instruments. They deserve our respect and adequate compensation. Bless them and their students. Amen. 1. That which doesn’t kill me makes me stronger. -Friedrich Nietzsche 2. What soap is for the body, tears are for the soul. -Jewish proverb 3. The best defense is not to offend. – Chuck Norris Jerry Cho: 920-373-3081 Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Blessings to you and your loved ones! Pastor Jerry Spiritual Vitamins (3/26/2020) by pastor Jerry Cho “I desire compassion, and not sacrifice.” – Matthew 9:13 Archaeologists found evidence that ancient people had sacrificed young children to their god for rain and good harvest. Ancient Hebrew people slaughtered animals and burned them on the altar, praying for the forgiveness of their sins. Their understanding of God was primitive. Jesus declared that God wanted compassion, not animal sacrifices. What God wants from us is to love one another. Let us pray for the armed forces. Dear Lord, we thank you for our service men and women. They protect us and our country from belligerent countries. Being right without might will get us nowhere. We pray that we maintain our military power to protect our freedom, democracy, and world peace. Amen. 1. The first duty of love is to listen. – Paul Tillich 2. Everyone should take time to be alone, to prioritize and meditate. -Art Linkletter 3. Being able to say, “I don’t know” is a sure sign of wisdom. -Confucius Jerry Cho: 920-373-3081 Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
How are you doing? You are in my thoughts and prayers. Have a blissful day! Pastor Jerry Spiritual Vitamins (3/25/2020) by pastor Jerry Cho “Be shrewd as serpents, and innocent as doves.” - Matthew 10:16 We need to be gentle and kind. But we also need to be tough and smart. There are scammers, con-artists, and charlatans in the world. They prey on gullible people. We shouldn’t be victimized by these evil people. We should outsmart them. When in doubt, stop and think. Let us pray for police officers. Dear Lord, we thank you for police officers. They deal with violent and dangerous people every day to keep us safe. We pray for their safety. Bless them and their families! Amen 1. Beware of the arrogance of health. – Dr. Oliver Sacks 2. If it is to be, it is up to me. -William H. Johnsen 3. You are young at any age if you are planning for tomorrow. -Anonymous Jerry Cho: 920-373-3081 Dear friends,
Hang in there! Something good will come out of this! Have a good day! Pastor Jerry Spiritual Vitamins (3/24/2020) by pastor Jerry Cho “A righteous man falls seven times, and rises again.” - Proverbs 24:16 Life has a way of knocking us down from time to time. It happens to everybody. Some stay down. Some get back up. Let us roll with the punches and rise up again. Nothing annoys the devil better than that. Nothing pleases God better than that. Let us pray for government leaders: Dear Lord, we pray for federal and state government leaders. Give them wisdom and courage to do the right thing for our country! Help them to serve people, not themselves. We are one great nation under God. Amen! 1. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing. -Helen Keller 2. If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. -Dolly Parton 3. No person is all good and no person is all bad. – David J. Schwarts Jerry Cho: 920-373-3081 |
