Spiritual Vitamins (5/7/2020) by Pastor Jerry Cho
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?”   - Psalm 27:1

Today is the National Day of Prayer. When our country is hit hard by the Covid-19, it’s good for Americans to take time to pray to God for wisdom, courage, and resiliency. With God’s help, we have overcome challenging times before and we will overcome this challenge again. Let us pray that we will be united as one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Today’s prayer:
Dear Lord, we pray for our country. May God give our leaders wisdom and courage to make our country strong, good, and wise! Help America to be a nation where justice and peace will flow like a river. Help our country to be the beacon of hope for all humanity! In Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.

1.    Who rises from prayer a better man, his prayer is answered.
2.    With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, “Are we sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?” – Craig R. Smith
3.    The exercise of prayer, in those who habitually exert it, must be regarded by doctors as the most adequate and normal of all the pacifiers of the mind and calmers of the nerves.    – William James
