Meet Pastor Jerry cho

Hello!
My name is Jerry Cho. I am the pastor of Suamico United Methodist Church. I
have been serving Suamico church since 2018. Before I came here, I had
served churches in Oconto Falls, Bonduel & Red River, Eau Claire, and Prairie
Farm.
I am originally from South Korea. I was ordained in the Korean Methodist
Church and served the Korean Army as a chaplain. I came to the United
States to pursue my theological education at Perkins School of Theology in
Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
In addition to Dallas, Texas, I had lived in Yuma, AZ, New York, NY, Jersey
City, NJ, Claremont, CA, studying pastoral care and counseling before I
moved to Wisconsin in 1999. I am an Elder pastor of Wisconsin Conference of
the United Methodist Church.
My pastoral ministry is to implement our denomination’s motto: “Making
people disciples of Jesus for the transformation of the world.” I believe that
the head of our church is Jesus Christ and that we are all his hands and feet,
serving God and loving people.
My favorite Bible verse is “No one has ever seen God; but if we love one
another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.” (1 John 4:12
I am married to Cindy, a retired teacher. We have two grown sons and a
grandson. My hobbies are swimming, golfing, reading and writing.
I hope to see you at church.
Blessings to you!
