There are so many thank yous to everyone who was a part of this wonderful event.
We had helpful hands doing food prep work, cooking, buffet and dessert serving. Folks donated foods and monies to be sure we had enough to eat. The dining room ‘staff’ kept our dinner guests well tended. Ticket takers accounting for everyone who came in and the hosts and hostesses with watchful eyes to get our guests a seat. And don’t forget the clean-up crew who put everything back together after it was all said and done.
Because of everyone’s hard work, we served 182 guests (and 5 take out meals too) and raised $3100.00 to go to the mission projects SUMC supports.
In addition, a very special thank you to Barb Lockwood and Marcia Ellis, who gave so much of themselves through organizing and keeping “it all flowing” – we surely could not have done it without them!
